Honkamp, P.C. voted Best Business Consulting Firm in the Quad Cities

Honkamp, P.C. once again garnered a top honor from the readers of a regional business journal.
Quad Cities Regional Business Journal today announced that the firm was voted by readers as the Best Business Consulting Firm in the Quad Cities in 2023. Honkamp also received the honor last year, which was the inaugural year for the awards.
Additionally, Honkamp this year was first runner-up in the Best Accounting Firm category.
The awards reflect the firm’s commitment to serve local small businesses and to use expertise and familiarity with their financials to help them succeed.
“Our experts do a really good job of going beyond just the numbers with clients,” said Honkamp Shareholder Michelle Steining, one of the leaders of the Davenport office. “They ask, ‘What does that mean? What can we do differently?’”
Those unique conversations help boost the performance of the businesses we work with.
“Being honored for our consulting work and being a trusted advisor really stands out,” Steining said.
Honkamp opened its Davenport office in October 2013 and experienced strong growth in the ensuing decade.
The office now has about 45 dedicated employees. That total ballooned up to about 60 during tax season at the beginning of this year, as the firm welcomed interns on board as well.
Honkamp serves a wide variety of clients in the Quad Cities area representing a range of industries, from medical groups to manufacturers to restaurants and bars. Staff in the Davenport office also work with businesses in the Iowa City area and generally cover an about-60-mile radius of the Quad Cities.
Honkamp’s reach extends much farther in some cases. Shareholder Scott Brawdy and his team are authorities when it comes to state and local taxes for companies. This uncommon specialty is in increasing demand as businesses grow and sell their products or services in multiple states. Based out of the Davenport office, Brawdy has business clients throughout the U.S., and he also partners with other accounting firms to provide these services to their clients.
The Quad Cities honors come on the heels of Honkamp being named a Top 10 Midwest CPA and business advisory group by Accounting Today earlier this year.
