Katie Thomas and Kyle Kunz recognized as being among the most influential business leaders

Two Honkamp, P.C. leaders were recognized recently as being among the most influential business people in the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City area.

Honkamp President and CEO Katie Thomas and Shareholder Kyle Kunz were honored in the Corridor Business Journal’s annual Corridor Leaders 250. The publication showcases the “most influential business leaders” in the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City area.

The CBJ selects honorees “based on extensive contacts in regional business circles, hundreds of interviews and months of research.”

Thomas became president and CEO of Honkamp at the beginning of 2023 after serving as the firm’s president since 2020. She joined the firm in 2004.

Kunz leads the firm’s Hiawatha office and has more than 29 years of experience as a corporate accountant, tax CPA and software consultant. He also is heavily involved in the community. His volunteer efforts have included roles with Cedar Rapids Downtown Rotary, Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa, Hiawatha Economic Development Company (HEDCO) and ICR Construction Financial Management Association. This marked the third consecutive year that Kunz has been named to the Corridor Leaders 250 list.
