June 13, 2016

Martha Sullivan, CPA, CVA/ABV, CM&AA, CEPA, partner in Honkamp Krueger’s (HK) Waunakee, Wis. branch, has received the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation from the Exit Planning Institute (EPI). Sullivan completed the Institute’s intensive CEPA four-day, executive-style MBA program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, joining an elite group of business advisors who have received this designation. Sullivan has a deep history of working with privately-held businesses, the majority of which have been family owned.  Sullivan states, “The business becomes a part of the fabric of these families’ lives so transitioning ownership is very personal and complex. Due to this, many companies fail to have a successful transition to a new owner, family, employees or at all. The CEPA designation and program is dedicated to changing that outcome. This aligns with HK’s philosophy of being ‘in the business of helping yours.’ By promoting a comprehensive and highly collaborative model between all of the owner’s advisors, we can bring a better solution to the table. HK is committed to improving our clients’ business transition outcomes.”
